GOL reports increased demand as May traffic announced

GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes has recorded its highest demand in the domestic market for the second consecutive month in the year-on-year comparison since it began operations in 2001.

The airline says its traffic results for May demonstrate the consistency in its strategic plan. Revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) totalled 2,185.5 million, up 14.5% from 1,908.5 million in May 2009. Available seat kilometres (ASKs) were also up, by 13.6%, at 3,740.9 million from last May’s figure of 3,293.8 million. The load factor thus rose by 0.5 percentage points to 58.4% in May 2010 compared with 57.9% in May last year.
