GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes has signed a codeshare agreement with Aeromexico, subject to approval from ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency) and CADE (Brazil’s Antitrust Authority).
The agreement will allow Aeromexico to include its code on flights operated by GOL, enabling its customers to have a higher connectivity with other Brazilian and South American destinations.
“Codeshare agreements enable GOL to have a stronger presence in key markets, as in Mexico, offering more benefits for our customers,” declared Alberto Fajerman, GOL’s institutional relations director.
The airlines will also offer to members of their frequent flyer programmes, SMILES (GOL) and Club Premier (Aeromexico), the ability to earn and redeem mileage on eligible flights operated by each airline.
