GLO is to add a fifth destination from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) with the introduction of thrice-weekly flights to Huntsville, Alabama, which are due to commence on 30 September 2016.
Operated by Corporate Flight Management, Inc. (CFM), GLO will carry out the flights to Huntsville International Airport (HSV) on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays using a 30-passenger Saab 340B aircraft.
The MSY–HSV leg will take off and land at 13:00 and 14:45 respectively, before the return HSV–MSY service departs at 15:15 and touches down at 17:00.
“We are very excited to launch non-stop service between New Orleans and Huntsville, Alabama,” remarked GLO’s founder and CEO, Trey Fayard. “This is an underserved destination that has synergy with New Orleans as far as the business communities, especially in the engineering sector, and we believe it will also serve a great need in both regions for our loyal leisure travellers.”
“We are very pleased that GLO continues to have success in New Orleans,” commented Iftikhar Ahmad, director of aviation, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. “With this new destination, the airport now offers service to 55 non-stop destinations, which is a new record for us.”
GLO will be Huntsville International Airport’s fourth air carrier, with the new route increasing the amount of destination airports to ten.
GLO began air service in November 2015.
