Skywest Airlines, a subsidiary of Skywest Inc, has announced that Tracy Gallo will replace Klen Brooks as vice-president of flight operations.
Gallo has been promoted from the position of director of flight training, which he has occupied at the airline for the last four years. His other experience in flight operations includes roles as a check airman, simulator instructor and flight instructor.
"Tracy's talent, proficiency and ability to skillfully navigate even the most challenging obstacle with ease will serve him well in his new role," explained COO of Skywest, Mike Thompson. "I'm confident his background and expertise, as well as his approach to working with our people toward excellence, will be invaluable in propelling SkyWest's industry-leading flight operations forward."
In his new role, Gallo will be responsible for all areas of flight operations, including flight control and crew scheduling, as well as flight training. He will also ensure that the airline maintains the highest possible level of safety and efficiency by overseeing the development and implementation of operations policies and procedures.
