Frontier Airlines has launched new nonstop service between Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) and the carrier’s Denver hub (DEN) with two daily roundtrip flights.
This new service is part of a significant growth period for the airline, which is growing by 7% in available seat miles this year.
“We are very excited to bring Frontier’s excellent customer service and affordable fares to the Santa Barbara community,” said Daniel Shurz, VP of strategy and planning. “In addition to the nonstop service to Denver, the Santa Barbara community can now connect to our more than 70 destinations across the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica.”
Frontier’s Santa Barbara service is flown by the 99-seat Embraer 190s, which will be the largest aircraft of any airline serving Santa Barbara. This fleet will be outfitted with inflight internet service by the end of 2010.
