Frontier Airlines is to add service between Knoxville, Tennessee (TYS) and Orlando, Florida (MCO).
The new service will operate three days each week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) beginning 15 March. With the new service, Frontier will serve two destinations nonstop from Knoxville and seven destinations nonstop from Orlando.
“We’re very pleased to bring Frontier’s low-fare, high-value service to this route,” declared Robert Westgate, senior director of planning and scheduling for Frontier. “While other airlines are abandoning this route, we’re confident that our better and different service will appeal to both leisure and business travellers.”
The schedule for Frontier’s new service between Knoxville and Orlando, to be operated with 138-seat Airbus A319s, sees flights depart Knoxville at 07:11 and arrive in Orlando at 08:45. In the opposite direction, the aircraft will push back at 08:10 and land in Knoxville at 09:43.
From 16 April, the MCO–TYS flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
