Frontier Airlines has announced its preliminary traffic results for March 2012.
Frontier’s revenue passenger miles (RPMs) decreased 1%, to 1,100,980,000 from 1,114,496,000 last March. available seat miles (ASMs) were cut by 3%, to 1,275,682,000 from 1,320,856,000.
For the month, Frontier had a load factor increase of 1.9 percentage points to 86.3% compared with 84.4% in March 2011. It was Frontier’s ninth consecutive record monthly load factor. During the month, the airline served 1,169,322 passengers, a 7% decrease from March 2011’s figure of 1,255,942.
“Our effective capacity deployment and high value product are continuing to generate excellent load factor performance,” noted Daniel Shurz, Frontier Airlines senior vice-president, commercial.
