Frontier Airlines has reported its preliminary traffic results for August 2011, including taking its load factor for the month to 90%.
Frontier’s revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased by 2%, to 1,234,053,000 from 1,213,869,000 in August 2010. Capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) was down 1%, 1,371,482,000 from last August’s 1,383,669,000.
The August load factor thus rose by 2 percentage points to 90% compared to 88% in the same month last year. It was Frontier’s second consecutive record monthly load factor. The airline served 1,458,249 passengers in August, a 4% increase from the 1,405,050 carried in August 2010.
