Frontier Airlines has announced its preliminary traffic results for May 2012, featuring an 11th consecutive record monthly load factor.
For the month, Frontier had a load factor of 90% compared to 88% in May 2011. It was Frontier’s 11th consecutive record monthly load factor.
Frontier’s revenue passenger miles (RPMs) decreased by 8% to 1,046,176,000 from May 2011’s figure of 1,140,172,000. Available seat miles (ASMs), however, were cut by 10%, to 1,165,207,000 from 1,298,906,000 for the respective months.
The load factor thus rose by 2 percentage points to 90% from 88%. Frontier Airlines served 1,147,058 passengers in May, a 14% decrease from May 2011’s total of 1,330,431.
