Frontier Airlines has reported its preliminary traffic results for May 2011 featuring a 3 percentage point increase in load factor.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased by 4% to 1,140,172,000 from 1,092,959,000 in May 2010. Available seat miles (ASMs) grew by 1% to 1,298,906,000 from last May’s figure of 1,291,418,000.
May’s load factor thus rose by 3 percentage points to 88% compared to 85% in the same month last year. This was Frontier’s fourteenth consecutive record monthly load factor. During May 2011, Frontier Airlines served 1,330,431 passengers, a 4% increase from the 1,278,468 passengers carried in May 2010.
