Frontier’s August schedule announcement confirms that from December, the carrier will operate new seasonal services between Phoenix (PHX) and Des Moines, Iowa (DSM), Milwaukee (MKE), Nashville, Tennessee (BNA) and St. Louis (STL) using Airbus A319 aircraft.
Flights to Des Moines will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 6 December 2016. The PHX–DSM leg will take off at 15:30 to arrive at 19:53, while the return DSM–PHX service will depart at 20:35 and arrive at 22:56.
Thrice-weekly flights will run between Phoenix and Nashville on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, departing at 07:00 and touching down at 11:12. The BNA–PHX service will take off at 12:00 and land at 15:05. The route will begin operating on 6 December 2016.
The Milwaukee route will operate four-times weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7 December 2016. On these days, the service will leave PHX at 07:20 to arrive in MKE at 11:42 before the MKE–PHX leg takes off and lands at 12:35 and 15:40 respectively.
Also beginning on 7 December 2016 are Frontier’s seasonal PHX–STL flights. Operating four-times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the outbound flights from Phoenix will depart and arrive at 16:20 and 20:15 respectively, while the inbound service will leave St. Louis at 20:55 to reach PHX for 23:28.
Frontier has also announced that its 2016 winter schedule will include new winter sun destinations from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) including three new Mexican routes and one new service to the Dominican Republic operating using Airbus A320 aircraft.
From 9 November 2016, the carrier will fly five-times weekly between ORD and Cancun (CUN) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays before a daily service begins from 13 December 2016. The ORD–CUN flights will take off at 06:00 and land at 10:53, while the CUN–ORD leg will depart and arrive at 12:05 and 15:00 respectively.
Four-times weekly flights between ORD and Puerta Vallarta in Mexico (PVR) will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 31 October 2016. The ORD–PVR leg will take off at 10:55 and land at 14:36, while the PVR–ORD leg will depart at 16:55 and arrive at 22:08.
From 30 October 2016, Frontier will introduce three-times weekly flights between ORD and Mexico’s Cabo San Lucas (SJD). On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the ORD–SJD leg will depart and arrive at 10:55 and 13:42 respectively, while the SJD–ORD service will take off at 15:30 and land at 22:12.
Flights between Chicago O’Hare and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic (PUJ) will operate daily from 30 October 2016. The ORD–PUJ leg will leave at 07:35 and land at 13:22 before the return leg takes off and lands at 15:30 and 18:36 respectively.
Finally, Frontier is also adding a seasonal service between Madison, Wisconsin (MSN), and Orlando (MCO), marking its 30th destination from the latter airport. From 5 January 2016, a thrice-weekly service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays using an A320 will leave MCO at 08:40 and arrive in MSN at 10:43. The return leg will depart and land at 11:35 and 15:36 respectively.
