Frontier Airlines is to add nonstop service from Wilmington New Castle Airport to Atlanta (ATL) and Detroit (DTW) beginning on 29 April 2014.
The addition of these two new cities brings the total number of routes served from the Wilmington/Philadelphia area to seven – Atlanta; Chicago Midway; Denver; Detroit; Fort Myers; Orlando; and Tampa.
At Wilmington, noted Frontier, customers can avoid “the hassles and lines of airports like Baltimore and Philadelphia”. The airport is just 38 miles from downtown Philadelphia, and 45 miles from the Delaware State Capitol in Dover, “making the airport a convenient gateway to the entire region”.
