Four-year contract approved by WestJet pilots

WestJet’s pilots have voted in favour of a new contract agreement, including enhancements to pay and scheduling which place WestJet's 1,250 pilots among the highest paid in the Canadian industry.
“We thank our pilots for their professionalism and the outstanding service they provided our guests every day as we worked toward this new agreement over the past 24 months,” commented Fred Cleveland, WestJet's executive VP of operations.
The previous agreement expired on 30 April 2013, and the new agreement will expire on 30 April 2019.
