Ryanair is to open four new routes – to Barcelona, Bologna, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria – from Manchester in March 2014, as well as adding frequencies on five existing routes.
The four new routes will take to 36 the number of routes it operates from Manchester. The five routes from the north of England airport getting increased frequency are those to Dublin, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Malaga and Tenerife.
Ryanair said that these additions will deliver more than 2.1 million Ryanair passengers a year at Manchester and expects the expansion to help sustain over 2,100 jobs there.
