Eagles Airlines, the recently founded Venice-based airline has signed a FLYFokker Take Off contract with Fokker Services which also incorporates the latter’s ABACUS product.
The Take Off solution enables operators starting with Fokker aircraft to be fully operational rapidly while receiving nose-to-tail support. The ABACUS contract covers exchange and repair services as well as presence of local on-site leased stock at Eagles Airlines’ home in Venice.
Eagles currently operates two Fokker 100s and plans to add three more by the end of 2011. "We are very pleased that Eagles Airlines has chosen for the Fokker product and Fokker Services as their full support provider. Furthermore, with Eagles Airlines, Fokker 100 operation has returned to Italy", declared Erik Goedhart, VP marketing & sales, Fokker Services.
"We are very pleased with the performance of the Fokker 100 aircraft and the support obtained from Fokker Services,” remarked Mauro Calvano, CEO Eagles Airlines. “The start of a new airline is always challenging but we feel confident that we are fully supported by the Type Certificate Holder."
