flydubai selects Farelogix to boost ancillary services

flydubai’s website has completed the initial integration of the FLX Merchandise solution from Farelogix as part of a new ancillary services programme which offers more flexible choices in both business and economy class.The FLX Merchandise platform supports retailing and personalisation across multiple sales channels including check-in kiosks, call centres, and travel agencies (whether direct or via GDS). flydubai hopes it will enhance customer relationships through increased interaction, product differentiation, and customisation as well as optimising distribution costs and ancillary revenue.“Product and service differentiation is a key part of our strategy as our network continues to grow,” explained Ramesh Venkat, CIO of flydubai. “Integrated solutions are becoming an important part of the aviation industry, and with the FLX Merchandise engine from Farelogix, flydubai is able to offer more flexibility and choice to our passengers.”The carrier says further customer-centric products and service options will be released following this merchandising debut.
