Flybe’s new year-round service between Manchester (MAN) and Luxembourg (LUX) marks the first time the latter destination has been accessible outside of a main London airport.
Flights will take place twice daily from Monday to Friday and once a day on weekends. Between Monday to Saturday, the MAN–LUX leg will take off at 09:10 and land at 11:50 before the return service departs and arrives at 12:15 and 13:05 respectively.
Between Sunday and Friday, another MAN–LUX flight will take off at 18:30 and land at 20:55, before leaving LUX again at 21:25 to reach MAN at 21:55.
Vincent Hodder, Flybe’s chief revenue officer, averred, “We are delighted to be launching our first flights between Manchester and Luxembourg today. Not only is this a first for Flybe, it is also now the only direct route offered to Luxembourg City outside of London. It is a fantastic destination for both business and leisure travellers alike so we are thrilled to mark this special milestone. We have scheduled flight times to make day trips a real possibility as well as helping business travellers save on expensive hotel costs.”
Manchester Airport’s commercial director, Stephen Turner, added, “We’re delighted to see the launch of Flybe’s new service to Luxembourg, which is a new route for Manchester. We’re confident the route will prove hugely popular with the 22 million people in our catchment area.”
