Flybe has announced that Christine Ourmières-Widener has stepped down from her role as CEO of Flybe Limited from 15 July, following the successful sale of the business to Connect Airways.
The Board of Directors thanks Christine for her many achievements and, her management of the company during a difficult time leading up to the sale of the airline.
“It has been a privilege to lead Flybe over the past two years and to work with such as outstanding and dedicated team of professionals,” said Christine. “Together, we have been able to secure the jobs of loyal Flybe employees with the sale to Connect Airways and provide customers and the UK with the vital transport and travel infrastructure they rely on, while preparing Flybe for a bright future under its new ownership.”
The company expects to be able to announce Christine’s successor before her departure to ensure a smooth handover.
