A new codeshare between Flybe and Cathay Pacific means that Flybe passengers travelling from Aberdeen, Belfast, Edinburgh, Exeter, Inverness, Isle of Man and Southampton will be able to travel on a single ticket from their local airport to Hong Kong via Manchester.
Flybe’s CCO Paul Simmons remarked, “This new one stop to China service reinforces our commitment to provide one stop to the world connections for customers in the UK regions.”
“The codeshare flights with Flybe will provide our passengers with greater choice and ease of connection to different cities within the UK from Hong Kong via Manchester,” added Rupert Hogg, Cathay Pacific’s COO.
Cathay Pacific will begin operating its four-times weekly service between Manchester and Hong Kong from 8 December.
Flybe also has codeshare partnerships with Aer Lingus, Air France, British Airways, Etihad, Finnair and KLM along with 17 interline partners including Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, Delta, TAP Air Portugal and Qatar Airways.
