The regional flag carrier of Luxembourg, Luxair, has signed a long-term contract with FL Technics for MRO services on its Boeing 737NG fleet.
The first aircraft is planned to be handled in the beginning of November in Kaunas, Lithuania, with two more to follow shortly after. MRO services will be provided for the whole of the airline’s Boeing 737NG fleet.
“The recent developments in the management structure of Luxair Technics, together with the company’s decision to grow its Boeing 737NG fleet, gave us the opportunity to evaluate our future technical requirements in terms of base maintenance services,” said Nitulescu Cristian Alexandru, head of engineering & planning at LuxairGroup, adding that the airline was impressed by FL Technics during the latest C-Check season.
“We are confident that their level of efficiency will translate into future operational gains through improved base maintenance turn-around times and an enhanced dispatch reliability, and, consequently, we look forward to an excellent partnership with FL Technics,” he added.
A long term co-operation began after three Luxair aircraft were successfully maintained in 2017.
“Our understanding of quality and effectiveness in A/C maintenance have risen us to yet another notch of service providing. We are extremely happy it was noted by Luxair,” said Juozas Lapeika, deputy CEO for production management at FL Technics.
