GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has delivered a new leased Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Air India Express to expand the carrier’s fleet.
Five more new 737-800s are scheduled for delivery to the airline – a new customer for the lessor – later this year. All are part of GECAS’s existing order book with Boeing.
Air India Express is the low-fare airline subsidiary of Air India and currently operates a fleet of 17 Boeing 737-800NGs to some 30 destinations.
