The first Airbus A220-100 for Delta Air Lines has rolled out of the painting hangar in Mirabel, Québec.

The aircraft in its new livery will be the first to be delivered to and operated by a US airline after it left the A220 final assembly line. Delta says it features a state-of-the art interior and delivers best-in-class fuel performance.

Its first flight will take place for the airline later this year, although it is not scheduled to begin commercial service until early next year.

Delta ordered 75 of the narrow-body aircraft, previously named the CS100, from Bombardier Commercial Aircraft in 2016.
