Air New Zealand has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo, with the carrier having a total of 20 A320neo family aircraft on order.
The aircraft in iconic all-black livery is powered by Pratt & Whitney Pure Power engines and accommodates 214 passengers in a single-class layout. The airline is planning to use its fleet of neo aircraft to initially add capacity on its trans-Tasman and Pacific Island routes. At a later stage it will also use them on its domestic services.
Air New Zealand currently operates 30 A320ceo aircraft in service on its domestic, trans-Tasman and Pacific Islands routes.
