For the first time, Firefly is introducing its own inflight magazine which will be placed on board all the ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600 aircraft.
Named Fireflyz with the tagline of “Take to the Skies”, the magazine features immersive content and a potential-quality readership of up to 200,000 per issue. The airline is scheduled to bring out Fireflyz from November 2013 onwards. Keeping the airline’s network in mind, the magazine will be published in English.
Ignatius Ong, chief executive office, Firefly commented, “I am proud to announce that we will now place Fireflyz magazine on board all our aircraft. With Firefly’s network in mind, we would like to provide our readers with information that’s more relevant to where they’re travelling within the ASEAN region. 68% of passengers have written down info taken from an inflight magazine and 91% have acted upon the info they read in an inflight magazine.
“We understand the importance of an inflight magazine to the overall travel experience; hence our continuous efforts in improving our initiatives from this aspect Fireflyz aim at not only giving a pleasant reading experience to the passengers, but also act as a mouth-piece to communicate with its stake holders,” added Ong.
