Firefly has deferred the beginning of its newest route between Subang and Hat Yai – which was originally scheduled to start on 2 May – following a series of bomb attacks in Yala and Hat Yai district in Songkhla, Thailand, on Saturday 31 March.
COO Shorthaul Malaysia Airlines/Firefly, Ignatius Ong, explained, “Our passengers’ safety is our top priority. We will postpone commencement of these flights until we think it is safe to fly. We will make an announcement of a new commencement date when the situation in Hat Yai is back to normal.”
