Firefly has announced services into Sandakan, marking its continuous network expansion with its Boeing 737 operation from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
In line with strengthening its network in East Malaysia, Firefly is also increasing its frequency on the recently announced Sibu sector.
Firefly’s head of marketing & communications, Angelina Fernandez commented, “Firefly is offering wider travelling options for business and leisure in the East Malaysia region with entrance into services to these sectors. Currently providing services to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, with commencement of Sibu in the third quarter of this year, we are confident in capturing value-discerning passengers.”
Firefly will begin twice daily KLIA–Sandakan services on 1 August. The KLIA–Sibu route starts on 1 July as a twice daily service with a third daily rotation being added on 1 August.
