Horizon Air has reported its traffic figures for February 2011 featuring an increase in average load factor.
The airline reported a 0.6% decline in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) to 177 million from 178 million. Capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) was cut by 6.5% to 230 million from 246 million compared with February 2010.
These figures created a 4.5 percentage point increase in load factor to 76.7% from 72.2 in February 2010. Revenue passengers carried – in rounded up figures – totalled 512,000, a 3.3% increase on the 496,000 in the same period last year.
