FARNBOROUGH 2016: easyJet opts for T3CAS surveillance system

T3CAS, the terrain collision avoidance system developed by Aviation Communication & Surveillance Systems (ACSS – a joint venture company between L-3 Communications and Thales), will be installed on the 136 Airbus A320neo and A320ceo aircraft on order with easyJet.
The solution – which is compliant to all upcoming worldwide mandates including ADS-B OUT and IN as well as runway overrun protection – is the Airbus standard choice for surveillance on A320 family aircraft.
“The confidence placed by easyJet in our T3CAS surveillance solutions is important to us as it reiterates our solution’s leading position in this market, with about 47% of Airbus line-fit selections,” stated Daniel Malka, VP and general manager for worldwide avionics services at Thales.
