Spring Airlines has selected CFM56-5B engines to power its incoming 30 Airbus A320 aircraft, with the airline scheduled to begin taking delivery in 2015.
The deal continues the airline's use of CFM56-5Bs as it currently operates 41 Airbus A320s with the engines.
“We have been co-operating with CFM since our first day of operation,” commented Madame Zhang Xiuzhi, CEO of Spring Airlines. “The performance of the CFM56 engines, combined with the service solutions and world-class customer support from CFM, have proven to be an important part of our operations. CFM continues to earn our trust every day. As we look at our future grown and fleet expansion plans, staying with the CFM56-5B was the obvious choice.”
