Falko Regional Aircraft Limited, an operating leasing and asset management company, has completed the purchase of two ATR 72-500 aircraft from existing portfolio customer Air Austral.
The aircraft have been immediately leased back to the airline in a sale and leaseback transaction. “We are delighted to have completed another transaction with Air Austral building on an initial sale and leaseback closed in 2015” said Mark Hughes, chief commercial officer, Falko Regional Aircraft Limited.
He continued: “This expands our ATR portfolio to 13 aircraft and we are keen to continue to build our investment in ATR turboprop aircraft. This transaction is the eighth completed by our Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund, which has now invested in over 40 regional jets and turboprops since its launch in November 2015 worth over $0.5 billion.”
