JetBlue has announced expansion of its Mint premium service to two new Caribbean destinations – St Lucia and St Maarten – as well as additional new routes.
The expansion will see Mint available on new seasonal services between New York and both St Lucia and St Maarten, as well as another new seasonal service between Boston and Aruba. The service will also be available on the continuing year-round services between New York and both Barbados and Aruba and between Boston and Barbados. Finally, the launch date set for Mint service on the Boston–Los Angeles route has now been set as 20 October 2016. The added routes take JetBlue’s Mint to eight destinations.
“Mint’s curated offering and personalised service continues to win over customers who have grown weary of legacy carriers’ tired premium offering,” declared Marty St George, executive vice-president commercial and planning, JetBlue. “Even better, these Airbus A321s with Mint offer a redesigned core cabin with enhanced entertainment features and more comfortable seating for every customer on board.”
On the Caribbean services, customers can expect an added twist to the Mint experience as Northbound menus from Caribbean destinations will feature regionally inspired small plates such as ginger-marinated shrimp, jerk pork tenderloin and pan seared flying fish, curated by a local culinary team. Mint customers on these flights will also be treated to a new welcome drink featuring rum and island flavours.
