Eurowings is continuing to expand its short- and medium-haul flight plan by adding seasonal flights from Vienna International Airport to Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca between 9 November 2015, and 26 March 2016, as well as a six-times weekly service to London Stansted and a three-times weekly service to Rome.Vienna International Airport will be the first Eurowings location outside Germany. The new services from Vienna will be operated by an Austrian Airlines Airbus A320 aircraft on a codeshare basis. “We look forward to welcoming our sister airline Eurowings in Vienna shortly. Together, we will provide our customers with an even greater flight network at attractive prices,” stated Andreas Otto, Austrian Airlines’ CCO.The carrier has also announced a new interline agreement with Bangkok Airways, facilitating interconnecting flights to destinations in Thailand and Cambodia. When arriving in Bangkok, customers of the existing Eurowings’ long-haul route flying from Cologne/Bonn can change to various connection flights provided by Bangkok Airways. Travel destinations made accessible include Koh Samui, Krabi, Chiang Mai and Udon Thani in Thailand and Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia.
