Embraer announced a new order from Belavia for two E195s at the ERA General Assembly in Salzburg, with deliveries scheduled for mid-2014, according to Gleb Parkhamovich (pictured), the airline’s deputy general director.
Parkhamovich noted that the airline is already operating two E175s which have garnered “a lot of positive feedback from passengers and crew”. He added that the new fleet additions had been instrumental in launching four new routes recently, with more to come before the end of the year.
“We have also increased traffic by more than a quarter this year,” he continued, “and I believe the E195 will be ideal to continue the growth.”
Belavia’s other aircraft in its 21-strong fleet are six Boeing 737-500s, six 737-300s, four Bombardier CRJ100/200LRs and three Tupolev 154?s.
