Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has ordered two new ATR 72-500s in a deal alongside the signing the finalisation of the order announced at the Paris Air Show for 10 ATR 72-600s with 10 options.
Following a press briefing by ATR CEO Filippo Bagnato, NAC’s managing director Martin Muller stepped forward to sign the contract.
The two ATR 72-500s will be delivered by the end of this year, while the first of the ATR 72-600s will be handed over in the fourth quarter of 2012.
Muller reported that the lessor has already been successful in placing the ATR 72-600s, with two airline customers sharing the 10 aircraft. “We therefore look forward to exercising the 10 options in the not-too-distant future,” Muller remarked.
