Elix Aviation Capital has delivered a Bombardier Dash 8 Q200 aircraft on lease to new customer, Safarilink, an airline based in Kenya.

Elix said the delivery, which took place late last week, marked its first delivery to Safarilink, and the company said that with this delivery “Elix continues to expand its leasing services in the African market.”

A spokeperson from the airline commented: “This delivery will enable Safarilink Aviation to meet the increased demand and much needed capacity on some of our high performing tourist routes, including Zanzibar”.

Safarilink was formed in January 2004 and has a network of connecting domestic scheduled services to safari destinations within Kenya and across the border into northern Tanzania.

The airline, based at Wilson Airport, Nairobi, operates 11 aircraft ranging from 13 to 52 seats and now provides daily scheduled services to 22 destinations.
