From 27 March 2016, easyJet will operate a service between Manchester and Tivat, Montenegro, marking the introduction of a 32nd country to the carrier’s route network and the 45th destination from Manchester Airport.
easyJet expects to fly 15,000 passengers a year to and from Tivat throughout the summer on the new twice-weekly flights. The route will be the only one offered to Tivat by any UK airline outside of London.
“We’re delighted to be adding a new county to our network exclusively available for passengers travelling from Manchester Airport. With its Mediterranean climate and a vibrant coastline littered with beaches, this is a truly up and coming destination which will provide more than a match for the long-established med resorts,” noted Ali Gayward, commercial manager at easyJet. “We expect this new route will not take long to become a firm favourite as an easy and affordable summer destination for our customers.”
Stephen Turner, Commercial Director for Manchester Airport, continued, “We’re delighted that easyJet has announced its new service to Tivat. It’s a destination that has never been served from Manchester and we’re sure it will prove popular with the 22 million people in our catchment area.”
