easyJet expands Manchester Airport base for summer 2016

teasyJet plans to introduce three new routes from Manchester Airport to Paris, Milan Malpensa and Olbia in Sardinia as part of its 2016 summer schedule, bringing the total number of destinations served by the carrier from Manchester to 43.ttThe Manchester–Paris flights will operate seven times per week, the Manchester–Milan Malpensa service up to seven times a week and the Manchester–Olbia route twice a week. To support these new services, easyJet has announced it will base two further aircraft at Manchester Airport in addition to the existing nine. The carrier is expected to fly 5,000 passengers a week across the new routes throughout next summer.ttAli Gayward, Commercial Manager at easyJet, commented, “We’re pleased to be continuing to deliver an unrivalled network of destinations with three completely new routes placed on sale today from Manchester. This underlines our commitment to both leisure and business passengers in the North West. It is safe to say we are seeing significant growth at Manchester.”
