easyJet is to connect Budapest and Venice Marco Polo Airport with a new thrice-weekly service beginning on 31 October.
“easyJet’s announcement is great news for Budapest Airport and lovers of the Italian lifestyle alike,” remarked Balázs Bogáts, head of airline development, Budapest Airport. “With more than 16,000 indirect passengers last year, easyJet’s connection to the famous culture of one of Italy’s largest leisure destinations is clearly in high demand.”
easyJet now operates seven routes from Hungary, with the new route – the airline’s first to Italy from Budapest – joining London Gatwick, Berlin, Paris, Lyon, Basel and Geneva on the carrier’s network.
