Eastern Airways is increasing the number of flights between Southampton and Aberdeen, a move designed to benefit business travellers and offshore workers says the airline.
From 20 January 2014, the airline will operate two flights each weekday, Mondays to Thursdays, offering additional choice with morning and afternoon departures.
This announcement follows on from the recent news that Eastern Airways will start services from Southampton to Leeds Bradford on 20 January, providing three flights each weekday in both directions, along with a Sunday service.
Weekday flights to Aberdeen will depart from Southampton at 08:20 and 16:05, arriving at 11:00 and 18:45 respectively. Flights from Aberdeen will leave on weekdays at 08:40 and 15:30, landing in Southampton at the respective times of 11:20 and 18:10.
Timings on Sunday services are also adjusted and will leave Southampton at 17:45, arriving in Aberdeen at 20:25. Flights from Aberdeen will depart at 14:45, arriving in Southampton at 17:15.
Kay Ryan, Eastern Airways’ commercial director, remarked, “By increasing the number of services to Aberdeen, south coast business travellers and oil industry workers [have] the choice of a convenient morning flight or a late afternoon departure.”
