The airline will introduce a three times a week summer service to Dijon from Monday 6 June 2011. Flights will operate on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays using a 29-seat Jetstream 41. On Mondays, flights will depart Southampton at 12:50, arriving in Dijon at 15:40. Services leave Dijon at 11:30 and arrive in Southampton at 12:20.
Flights on Fridays take off from Southampton at 13:50pm, landing in Dijon at 16:40. Return flights leave Dijon at 12:30 and arrive in Southampton at 13:20. Finally, Sunday services leave Southampton at 13:40, arriving at 16:30. Flights back take off from Dijon at 12:10 and land in Southampton at 13:10. All times quoted are local.
The announcement is part of Eastern’s plans for Dijon, following the setting up of a base there in September 2010 with domestic services to Bordeaux and Toulouse. The airline has also confirmed the start of a daily domestic route from Dijon to Nantes from 16 May. Southampton becomes Dijon’s only international route.
