Eastern Airways has added extra capacity to its services from Leeds Bradford airport to Southampton and Aberdeen routes with over 900 additional seats a month.
A 37-seat Embraer ERJ 135 now operates daily on selected peak services to both Southampton and Aberdeen, and new convenient timings have also begun on the service enabling business commuters to arrive in Southampton by 07:25 and the choice of two northbound flights arriving in Aberdeen before 09:45.
Weekday flights to Southampton from Leeds Bradford will see new 06:40, 10:35 and 17:15 departures arriving in Hampshire at 07:25, 11:45 and 18:00 respectively. Services leave Southampton at 07:50, 16:30 and 18:30, landing at Leeds Bradford at 08:35, 17:45 and 19:15 respectively. Sunday services leave Leeds Bradford at 17:55 and depart Southampton at 19:15.
Flights to Aberdeen on weekdays will depart Leeds Bradford at 07:00, 08:55 and 18:05, arriving at 08:10, 09:45 and 19:20. Services take off from Aberdeen at 08:45, 16:10 and 19:55, arriving in Leeds Bradford at 10:05, 16:55 and 21:05 respectively. Sunday flights depart from Leeds Bradford at 20:20 and leave Aberdeen at 16:45.
“The introduction of the Embraer jet on our Leeds Bradford services enables us to offer additional capacity to the two busy regional centres of Southampton and Aberdeen,” explained Kay Ryan, Eastern Airways’ commercial director. “It also allows us to offer business commuters and offshore industry personnel new enhanced timings to suit their needs.”
All departing Eastern Airways passengers benefit from Fast track security channels at Leeds Bradford, Southampton and Aberdeen airports to avoid any queues at security search. Customers are offered complimentary drinks and snacks on board the aircraft and there is no charge for check-in, baggage or choice of seat.
