Japan Air Commuter (JAC) has signed a multi-year contract with Dowty Propellers, which will now provide a support package for JAC’s 11 Bombardier Q400s and 11 Saab 340s.
Dowty is a type certificate holder on the propeller systems on both the Q400 and the Saab 340, so it can provide JAC repair and overhaul services, technical assistance and on-site support.
“Dowty Propellers is uniquely capable of supporting both the Bombardier Q400 and Saab 340, which represent JAC’s entire aircraft inventory,” stated president of Dowty Propellers, Oliver Towers. “Our agreement ensures that JAC will benefit from the full resources of the propeller system’s original manufacturer, ensuring the aircraft are maintained to the highest standards.”
Yasushi Tokuda, general manager of Japan Air Commuter, commented, “We expect the new agreement with Dowty Propellers to improve the quality and service level of our flight. And also, we believe our relationship will maximise customer satisfaction.”
