SkyWest, Inc. has reported traffic figures for its wholly-owned subsidiary carriers SkyWest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) for both June 2010 and the first half of the calendar year.
The pair reported a 4.0% increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) to 1,693,294,745 from 1,628,141,622 for June, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 3.2% to 2,042,191,997 from 1,978,187,920 in the same period last year.
The load factor in June was up 0.6 percentage points to 82.9% compared with 82.3% for June last year. Passenger boardings for June totalled 3,411,663, a 6.1% increase from June 2009’s figure of 3,214,410.
For 1H10, RPMs were up 9.9% to 9,145,034,106 from 8,324,450,532 in 1H09, while ASMs were increased by 8.1% to 11,582,033,136 from 10,717,584,956 for the respective periods. The load factor thus rose by 1.3 pp to 79.0% in 1H10 from 1H09’s figure of 77.7%. Passengers carried in 1H10 totalled 18,419,314, up 11.5% from 16,518,573 in 1H09.
