SkyWest, Inc. has released the combined April 2010 traffic figures for its two airline subsidiaries, SkyWest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA).
The combined airlines reported a 10.9% increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for April, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 8.5% compared to the same period last year.
The pair generated 1,526,813,646 RPMs for the month compared with 1,377,057,518 in April 2009, while ASMs increased to 1,920,816,496 from 1,770,588,176 for the respective periods.
The load factor was up 1.7 percentage points to 79.5% compared to 77.8% for the same period last year. Passenger boardings for April totalled 3,097,439, a 12.7% increase from April 2009’s figure of 2,747,962.
