Colgan Air’s April performance data announced

Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has released capacity and operational results for its Colgan Air subsidiary for April 2010.

Colgan generated 56,931,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs) during April 2010 compared with 52,466,000 last April, an 8.5% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 2.8% to 91,429,000 from 88,935,000 in April 2009.

Those figures gave Colgan a load factor for the month of 62.3%, up 3.3 percentage points on the April 2009 figure of 59.0%. Passengers carried numbered 228,181 compared with 223,857 last April, a 1.9% increase.

Block hours were down by 5.8% to 10,621 from 11,278, while there were 3.5% fewer departures – 8,729 in April 2010 versus 9,045 in April 2009. All these figures were achieved with a constant fleet of 34 Saab 340s and 14 Bombardier Q400s.
