Colgan Air releases May performance data

Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has released capacity and operational results for its Colgan Air subsidiary for May 2010.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) generated numbered 57,742,000, a 5.1% increase on May 2009’s figure of 54,961,000. Available seat miles (ASMs) were cut 1.8% to 91,326,000 from last May’s 89,749,000.

The load factor therefore increased by 2.0 percentage points to 63.2% from 61.2%, with total passengers carried dropping by 0.4% to 235,583 from 236,520.

Block hours flown totalled 10,678, 4.7% fewer than the 11,203 hours flown in May 2009. Departures were also down, by 4.8%, to 8,742 from 9,183 for the respective periods. All this was flown with a fleet of 34 Saab 340s and 14 Bombardier Q400s.
