From 15 January 2015, Cleveland will become the 57th city in Spirit Airlines’ route network, with services to eight destinations: Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas/Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Myrtle Beach.
Mark Kopczak, the airline’s VP of network planning, declared, “Cleveland and Northeastern Ohio have endured high fares long enough.”
Each service will be daily, apart from those to Tampa and Fort Myers, which will operate three and four times weekly, respectively.
All new flights will operate out of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE). CLE’s director, Ricky Smith, commented, “Today's announcement further establishes CLE as the preferred low-fare airport in the region.”
