Swedish regional carrier, City Airline, has become the latest airline select Vistair’s web-based SafetyNet safety reporting and management system.
The Gothenburg-based airline operates a fleet of five Embraer ERJ 145s, two ERJ 135s and three Boeing MD-87s on routes throughout Europe. It is using SafetyNet to replaces an old in-house system which had limited functionality for trend analysis.
According to Christian Scheel, City Airline’s quality and safety manager, “As we continue to grow, the need to improve safety requires us to seek better solutions. By adopting Vistair’s SafetyNet cloud-based solution, we can make major savings and further boost our safety.”
Vistair’s managing director, Ian Herbert, added, “City Airline will benefit from a reduction in costs and a boost in their safety compliance. They will also find, like all our other customers, that any of their staff who can use Amazon or Facebook can use SafetyNet, without the need for additional training. We have designed all our systems to enable our customers’ staff to use these products without the need for special equipment or special training.”
