TRU Simulation + Training has signed a contract to provide China Express Airlines with a Bombardier CRJ900 FFS X full flight simulator.
The simulator, which will help the airline deal with the increasing number of Bombardier CRJ900s in its fleet, is scheduled to be installed towards the end of 2015. It will also help China Express Airlines save on costs, as pilots previously had to travel to Montreal in Canada for training.
Features of the CRJ 900 FFS X include an electrical 60-inch motion system, TRU Simulation + Training’s front-projected visual display and Rockwell Collins’ EP8000 image generator.
“China Express Airlines is a fast growing regional operator,” remarked Wu Longjiang, the airline’s president. “This state-of-the-art simulator will be the first of its type to be installed in the region, and we are proud to have selected TRU Simulation + Training to provide this important capability.”
As it already operates a dedicated customer support centre in Chengdu for its Chinese customers, George Karam, VP of air transport simulation for TRU Simulation + Training, indicated that his company are also in a strong position to provide additional maintenance and support services to help fuel and sustain the airline’s growth.
