Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation has announced a series of changes among its directors and executive officers which will take effect on 1 April 2015.
Chairman and CEO Hideo Egawa and president and COO Teruaki Kawai will both be retiring on 31 March. Taking on the combined roles of president, chief executive officer and chief operating officer of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation will be Hiromichi Morimoto (pictured), currently senior vice-president, commercial aviation & transportation systems at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
Senior EVP Yukinori Horiguchi will add the role of head of the sales and marketing division to his responsibilities. Masao Yamagami, who prevously held that role, will remain an EVP but will become chairman of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation America.
Nobuo Kishi, currently senior EVP and head of the engineering division, will hand over the latter role to Naoki Futatsudera, who is also a SVP of the company.
Hitoshi Iwasa, currently VP corporate planning & business strategy department, is promoted to SVP and will become head of the corporate administration division.
Finally, deputy head of sales and marketing division, Kanji Ito, also becomes a SVP.
